Your Journey at Crowe Starts HereJob SummaryQualificationsCrowe is seeking a Loan Review Manager to perform credit risk consulting projects for a variety of clients in the financial services industry. In this role, you will:
* Provide loan review services and other consulting engagements with clients on credit related matters.
* Analyze and conduct systematic loan reviews of business-related credits to ascertain adequacy of credit quality, loan documentation, credit administration, and compliance with established policies.
* Work on credit projects under a manager; however, you will often work autonomously on certain aspects.
* Support many different types of financial institutions, over different geographies.
* Lead segments of engagements that will help you develop leadership abilities, including building client relationships and business relationships with key executives.
Qualifications:
Educational and Professional Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 4+ years' experience of working in financial institutions or regulatory supervisory institutions.
- Graduate degree or Professional certification a plus (i.e. - RMA CRC).
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Underwriting, lending, or regulatory experience - not a role for a consumer finance background.
- Prepare detailed financial analysis, including cash flow models and collateral evaluations in order to identify potential credit risks.
- Evaluate whether commercial loan requests adhere to bank policies and procedures.
- Experience with a variety of loan products and industries.
- Prior experience with SBA SOP is a plus
- Management and team leadership is a plus.
- Understanding of credit processes, such as loan origination and underwriting; credit policies; portfolio management; allowance for loan and lease losses; loan review and remediation.
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state banking laws related to credit risk.
- Prior experience with risk ratings, risk rating methodology, and allowance methodology would be a plus.
- A self-starter who can prioritize multiple tasks, be resourceful and able to research and find solutions.
- Individual who is detail oriented and highly efficient with their time.
- Passionate about learning, meeting goals, and helping a team succeed.
- Good PC skills and an ability to quickly learn a variety of software platforms (prior experience configuring or designing software solutions would be a plus but not required).
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively one-on-one and in small group meetings or presentations
- Ability to understand and/or convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately and quickly if necessary
- Write and present clear and concise reports to provide meaningful recommendations to clients.
- Travel Requirements: Up to 50%. This position may require national or international travel.
