Are you looking for a dynamic company to join? Roush has an immediate opening for an Entry Level Powertrain Product Engineer to join our team. The Powertrain Product Engineer will provide design and release services to the Powertrain Engineering Department. This position is located in Allen Park, MI.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer needs to design requirements and to feasible design concepts
- Apply relevant engineering analysis to design components & subsystems
- Manage CAD resources to develop 3D models and 2D prints
- Develop & execute dFMEA and DVP&R documents
- Conduct hardware development tasks to validate function
- Support prototype and pre-production builds
- Manage build-to-print and full-service suppliers
- Manage CAE resources to analytically validate designs
- Support production launch for responsible components/systems
- Document & report status internally and externally to customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical degree combined with equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of most powertrain subsystems
- Mechanical aptitude
- Affinity for hands-on work
- Analytical approach to design and problem solving
- Working CAD skills
Preferred Skills
- Relevant internship experience and/or Formula/Baja SAE project experience
