Kyyba, Inc. has an opening for the position of EE System Validation Engineer (Ref# EESVE112VK) to work in Farmington Hills, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Responsible for developing electrical system validation test plans and procedures for automotive systems. Test and study all Electrical Engineering (EE) systems inside of the vehicles. Responsible for validation of hardware, software, and vehicle functionality. Analyze analog and digital signals using CANoe engineering software. Test and troubleshoot the vehicle systems using CAN testing tools like CANoe/CANalyzer and traditional electrical testing equipment in an electrical lab atmosphere and in vehicle. Design automated test benches using CAPL scripting to support the vehicle systems as well as troubleshoot complex automotive electrical issues. Perform verification and validation of automotive systems to meet federally regulated guidelines (i.e. FVMSS – Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard) for software performance (OBD – onboard diagnostics), safety requirements, manufacturability, and vehicle functionality. Develop master DVPs for vehicle validation, creating and managing DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report), the test procedures (including maintaining traceability of test artifacts to requirements), and initial root cause analysis activities. Complete the compliance procedures and reports by validating and verifying whether the results/reports are in compliance with FVMSS. Use various lab equipment to future analyze vehicle build models in a lab. Read spec sheets for component functionality. Analyze and collect bus logs on CAN and LIN networks using CANoe and CDA. Update test procedures and report issues in the portal. Flash vehicles with the latest released software, clearing the DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes). Coordinate meetings with suppliers on a business and technical level to solve the issues found in the validation. Use of C, C++, CAN, LIN, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL, Vehicle Spy, DOORS, and MS Office. Travel and/or relocation required.
Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or 1 year in a related occupation including Component Validation Engineer or related experience. Position requires 1 year of experience with vehicle validation, DVP&R, CAN, CAPL, and Vehicle Spy. 40hrs/week.
