SKF is a truly global company with presence in more than 130 countries, serving an extensive range of industries and customers worldwide.Job Description:The SKF Automotive Market (AM) has global responsibility for business development, product and process development, manufacturing and sales on wheel end, powertrain, suspension and steering applications, providing original equipment parts for the passenger car and light truck vehicle industry. It is a global structure covering sales regions all over the world as well as manufacturing facilities in Europe, Asia and the Americas.Responsibilities:•Responsible for all bearing related warranty activities in NA and leader for both internal and external activities to continuously improve and support customer warranty requirements.•Responsible for the NA Bearing Investigation center and its implementation•Manage and support the Global processes used for AM bearing investigations in NA.•Lead and manage warranty analysis for Level 1 Automotive investigations.•Coordinate all level 2 analysis for AM and reporting through the Global GBI structure•Monitor NATC KPI’s and report monthly•Work with regional FRCs/ PICs to make complete analysis of returned products from warranty, including data processing and ensuring globally consistent report generation•Lead the internal communication process for any corrective actions required as a result of findings from warranty analysis.•Provide feedback to Product Development and Engineering, Manufacturing and Sales, on corrective actions to implement lesson learned.•Lead the organization toward achieving customer long-term warranty targets and requirements by initiating warranty reduction projects•Support and ensure proper use of the AM Field Return database for all warranty activities, to include creating field return cases for all warranty parts received in NATC•Proactively monitor customer warranty databases for trends with SKF products•Manage customer warranty charge discussions, with the objective to minimize SKF financial impact•Lead customer warranty part review pick up meetings at customer locations and responsible for responding in customers’ warranty analysis systems•Local travel (less than 1 hour) and some international travel may be required.Qualifications:•A bachelor's degree in engineering, business or similar field•2+ years’ work experience in the automotive industry•Been exposed to warranty returns, investigations and warranty systems at major Automotive OEMs•2+ years’ experience working in a customer contact position and proven ability to build good relationships with customers•Excellent listening skills and technical communication skills•Excellent organizational and follow up skills•Business excellence-oriented mind set•Fluent in English, written and spoken•Dependable, reliable and self-drivenThe following are not mandatory but will give the eligible candidate a distinct advantage:•Familiar with Automotive bearing applications•Familiar with bearing warranty returns and investigation•Fluent in Spanish, written and spokenWhat You’ll Love About SKF:Rest and Relaxation.
