Job Title:
Neurosurgery Residency Program Coordinator
Job Summary:
- The Program Coordinator (PC) coordinates the day-to-day administrative aspects of Ascension Providence Hospital's Graduate Medical Education (GME) Programs in collaboration with the Program Director (PD), GME Office, faculty physicians, fellows/ residents (trainees), and the other institutional and regulatory administrative offices.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the PD to assure GME program meets or exceeds all accreditation requirements
- Know current Accreditation, Residency Board and GME requirements for the GME Program.
- Organize and maintain files required for ACGME, AOA and/or other accreditation, medical licensure and trainee memberships.
- Prepare reports/forms required for accreditation (e.g. GMEC Program Reviews and Internal Reviews; PIFs, WebADS updates; Outcome Reports).
- Manage and coordinate accreditation site visits for the GME program, if applicable
- Manage and coordinate internal reviews of the GME program.
- Maintain web-based ACGME accreditation surveys for GME program, collecting and collating appropriate information from sources throughout Ascension Providence Hospital.
- Maintain ongoing communications with GME Office regarding accreditation requirements for the trainee and program.
- Assist in the preparation and ongoing management of the GME program budget and other reporting requirements, e.g. GME Outcomes
- Manage the program's GME budget, including oversight of trainee travel and education allocations.
- Process invoicing for program-related expenses.
- Participate in annual budgeting meeting to include documentation to justify additional funding.
- Coordinates and organizes the resident recruitment process including and not limited to registering for NRMP, AMA tracker, working with ERAS, coordinating interviews and ranking processes.
- Maintain ACGME program compliance; including and not limited to preparing for required educational meetings and evaluations, and ADS update
- Maintains and performs administrative and record custodian functions including and not limited to maintenance and verification of personnel records, curriculum documentation, and accreditation documentation.
- Maintains HIPAA, PHI compliance, program-specific policies including and not limited to remediation tasks.

Minimum Qualifications Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in using Google G Suite products
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite products
- Moderate knowledge of accounting
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
Contractual arrangement:
- This is a hospital-contracted position.
Reporting Relationships:
- The PC reports directly to the Neurosurgery Program Leadership and the Director of operations at Michigan Spine and Brain Surgeons, PLLC. Manager of Medical Education will fulfill a role as additional resource and support.
Salary Range
Minimum: 39,686.40 ($19.08/h)
Midpoint: 49,608 ($23.85/h)
Maximum: 59,529.60 ($28.62/h)
