Job DescriptionShipping and Receiving LeadJob Family - Hourly Employee Summary:Leads and coordinates the activities of the shipping/receiving team. This is an entry level management position, the individual in this role will be placed on an Individual Development Plan (IDP) to develop management skills. Responsibilities will include learning how to lead teams toward common goals, develop and deploy standardized processes, use data to track results and problem solve. Upon completion of the IDP, individuals in this role will be prepared to develop their successor and move on to roles with higher responsibilities and rewards. Duties and Responsibilities:•Receives ASNs (Advance Shipping Notices)•Completes all data entry of receivers•Coordinates material handling for production, raw material, WIP and finished goods, assists in material handling as necessary•Finished goods final audits and any other product staging•Logistics planning for outside product processing as well as expediting finish goods product as necessary•Prints packing slips, bar codes and labels, verifies information and administers properly•Organizes material in receiving and finished goods/shipping areas, audits area to ensure adherence to standard•Track on time customer delivery•Interprets and enforces company policies•Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product•Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of assigned staff•Analyzes and resolves work problems and assists workers in solving those problems•Suggests or initiates plans to motivate staff to achieve goals•Completes Red/Green check list and other paperwork as required•Ensure a safe work environment is maintained, appropriate safety systems/processes are utilized. Work with the EHS Department to ensure compliance with all OSHA and other state/federal safety and environmental rules and regulations.•Other duties, tasks, and actions as necessary, required and/or assigned.Positions Requirements: •Proven leadership skills required.•High school diploma or equivalent. Associates degree in management related field preferred. Continued education will be strongly encouraged for individuals seeking to move into subsequent leadership roles.•Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills in order to direct work team.•Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken, in order to read and interpret work instructions and other job-related documentation.
