Technical Documentation Specialist

Full-time Contract
SUMMARY
Support, develop and coordinate activities related to implementing and maintains customer documentation per customer requirements. Completes final screening of documentation prior to submitting to customer. Support improvement activities for company Management Systems and perform process auditing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES can include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support and assist in the creation of spare part list, maintenance schedules, lubrication plans, training manuals, operation manuals and maintenance manuals as applicable.
- Works with outside suppliers to make sure all customer specifications are followed as required.
- Collects and organize OEM documentation and populate/maintain data on PLM system.
- Verifies documentation completeness prior to submitting to customer.
- Participate in Advanced Quality Planning activities such as PFMEA, Risk Assessments, PM Task Lists, Service placards and Layout BOM's.
- Serves as the Internal Auditor for the Management Systems for ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 standards. Assist in the closure of all corrective action requests issued during audit processes.
- Understands and follows safety & environmental regulations and identifies safety/environmental concerns in company facilities as well as in the customer's facilities.
- Adheres to the Quality System and participates in continuous improvement.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Must have a working level knowledge of Machine Qualification and Acceptance Testing, Reliability,
Failure Analysis including FMEA, 8-D, 7 Step and 5-Why. Should have a working level knowledge of statistical packages and computer skills. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must demonstrate working level knowledge of customer interface. Preferably experience working with FORD, FCA, GM and Tier-1 suppliers. Must demonstrate working level knowledge of ISO standard and APQP practices.
