The 2021 Clean Air Human Resources Intern Position (Summer Term) opportunity is located at our Engineering Center in Grass Lake, Michigan.
The primary focus of the Student Program is to provide hands-on learning and real world experience to human resources students enrolled in a cooperative education program at an accredited college or university. By developing employee skills, business acumen, product knowledge, problem solving and technical skills, students participating in Tenneco's Student Program provide invaluable assistance to Tenneco's human resources community.
This position will support the Clean Air business unit of Tenneco.
Possible Responsibilities Include:
Database research and projects
Training system projects
Engagement projects
Assist with onboarding of hourly and salaried staff
Assist with team activities

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Effective time management skills.
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Minimum Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled in and in good standing with an accredited cooperative education program.
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in business.
Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Ability to travel between Tenneco facilities on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or Psychology.
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Student with prior co-op or intern experience.
