Business Development Representative (Full-time | Grand Rapids)
Open Systems Technologies “OST” (www.ostusa.com) seeks a rock star Business Development Rep to accelerate new client acquisition in our enterprise, manufacturing, and healthcare markets. In this role, you will identify and develop new business through inbound lead qualification or outbound prospecting efforts within targeted geographies/accounts, set up sales qualified appointments, and support our sales reps to advance deals through the sales funnel. Your efforts will directly impact the development of the pipeline and our ability to accelerate growth. You will work closely with our Marketing team, Account Executives, and Principals to acquire new business. You will also have a Sales Coach, an experienced sales professional on our team, assigned to help mentor and grow your skills as an investment in your long-term professional development.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Qualify inbound leads driven through online form submissions and marketing campaigns
- Cultivate new leads through various channels such as outbound campaigns (phone/email) and LinkedIn
- Stay engaged with and nurture your deals in partnership with the sales team and principals
- Meet monthly targets in accordance with the strategic plan
- Use ZoomInfo, LinkedIn, and other sources to collect relevant contact information
- Manage follow up actions and prospecting pipeline to maximize conversion to qualified leads for the team
- Build rapport and cultivate relationships with a variety of partner, sales, marketing, and delivery team members
- Create a steady flow of outbound communications educating prospects using industry insights
- Gain in-depth knowledge of customers, industry, and OST products and solutions
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Psychology, or related field preferred
- Experience working in a team environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with customers and team members
- Business acumen and business 101 knowledge
- Solid technical aptitude
- Ability to analyze industry trends and craft relevant messaging
- Passionate about sales and customer service
- Positive, persistent, competitive, and driven for results
- Quick study with the ability to learn new things, think on your feet and solve problems
