Description Herman Miller's Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their career. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
As an Indirect Supply Chain Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical industry knowledge and experience as you work on cross-functional projects within Supply Management.

Inside the Job
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mirroring the experience and responsibilities of Procurement and Supply Chain professionals
- Gaining practical experience with corporate strategy, market intelligence, supplier visits, value tracking, spend analytics, and other key processes
- Shadowing and working alongside Supply Chain team members
- Learning project management skills
- Working with suppliers and continuous improvement processes
- Building business acumen
- Gaining on-the-job work experience aligned with your career goals.
What You Bring
Needed skills and experience for this role include:
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and financial acumen
- Strong potential leadership skills
- Reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be innovative and look beyond standard practices
- Interest in IT
- Enrollment and pursuit of a four-year Bachelor's degree in Supply Management or a related field from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request. You'll need a GPA of at least a 3.0 (cumulative or within your major) to qualify for consideration
- Favorable academic standing within your current academic program
- Authorization to work in the United States
