GENERAL SUMMARY:
As part of the transition of care team and under the general guidance of the medical director, the advance practice provider will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with diseases and adverse health conditions following the written guidelines approved by the department of medicine. This team will be responsible for the transition of care of medical patients from the emergency department to the inpatient setting.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS
A. Education / Training:
A graduate of an AMA recognized PA training program that is accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission OR a Master's Degree in Nursing
B. Work Experience:
1 to 3 years experience as an APP, preferred
C. Certification, Licensure, Registration:
State of MI PA/NP license, required
NCCPA/ANCC certification or equivalent, required
AHA BLS certification, required
D. Other Qualifications:
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients in situations requiring sensitivity and tact.
Demonstrates strong health assessment skills.
