We are excited about a new opportunity with our Merchandising Operations Team for a North American Master Data Manager. This role will be instrumental in leading the strategic development, documentation, training, implementation, and compliance of business processes, information standards, and system enhancements that achieve and maintain defined data quality levels and operational excellence in master data across North America. In addition, the Master Data Manager will provide strategic leadership, vision, critical thinking, subject matter expertise, and resources in the development, management, and synergistic usage of multiple master data systems, related applications, and technology while developing and implementing specific data management strategies and solutions that effectively support company growth, strategic initiatives, and data readiness. Be part of it! How will you make an impact? * Manages activities that assure accurate and timely creation, maintenance, and enhancement of product, vendor, broker, or customer data. Represents the Master Data COE as primary data quality advocate and provides leadership in the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data. * Ensures accuracy, timeliness, and procedural compliance in activities related to product, vendor, broker, or customer data creation, maintenance, and management. * Supports business acquisition, system integration, and application migration efforts as a subject matter expert for product, vendor, broker, or customer data management. * Provides strategic feedback and vision that promotes the continuous improvement of master data systems. * Shares expertise in master data, associated applications, and their relationships amongst cross-functional stakeholders, customers, tasks, and business requirements. * Develops and communicates data quality and operational metrics reporting; executes improvement efforts related to master data and processes. Ensures data accuracy and efficiency standards are aligned with business objectives and systems evolution. * Collaborates with cross-functional leaders and influences consensus in applying data quality and efficiency best practices. * Manages the development of training tools and materials designed to support data and team initiatives. * Interviews, hires, trains, and retains staff. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and acts as a role model and resource to them. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiating follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate. * Develops capital and operational budget for the department. Routinely monitors, manages, and controls budget; analyzes variances and takes appropriate action and develops plans for productivity improvements. * May provide strategic oversight to third party technology providers which support master data or purchasing data transactions. Leading candidates will have…….. * Five years previous food service distribution and/or data management experience with two years previous supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field required. * Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, database, presentation, email and internet software applications, and online meeting technologies. * Knowledge of SAP S4, SAP MDG or experience with GFS systems and business processes preferred.
