Manages and coordinates the organization-wide effort with respect to sourcing, identifying, screening, and hiring candidates for positions throughout our Viking organization. Position will include production, administrative, technical, and management assignments throughout the company. Manages the applicant tracking process as well as numerous social media applications used in the recruitment process. Interacts with managers on recruiting strategies, long term succession planning, and start up operations involving the staffing of a new location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Processes Job Requisitions, creates and reviews job postings on various job boards, and screens resumes.
- Sources potential candidates through online channels (social platforms and professional networks).
- Phone screens and conducts formal interviews of applicants to evaluate qualifications. Makes recommendations for formal interviews and/or hire.
- Coordinates and schedules formal interviews with managers in multiple time-zones and locations.
- Communicates with hiring managers regarding job descriptions, hiring recommendations, sourcing strategies, internal promotions, and candidate rejections.
- Conducts reference checks, background checks, and drug screens.
- Extends verbal and written job offers; communicating important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits, compensation, noncompete agreements).
- Maintains job descriptions for all existing and newly created positions.
- Maintains employee referral program.
- Ensures orientation training and onboarding is coordinated in conjunction with the Staffing Coordinator.
- Maintains Exit Survey reporting on a monthly basis.
- May coordinate and attend College Career Fairs as necessary (Michigan).
- Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
- Some travel may be required for formal interviews at geographical locations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 Years' Experience in Recruiting and Staffing (Temporary Agency placement or Corporate placement). Technical recruiting experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and a high degree of computer literacy. Excellent email and calendar coordination skills.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP or ApplicantPro preferred).
- Experience with social media recruiting.
- Good knowledge of specialized functions in the industry.
- Strong knowledge in employment labor laws in relation to recruiting and hiring.
- Demonstrated excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Problem solving and decision-making skills involved with background checks, hiring decisions, and ADA accommodations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and programs.
- Demonstrated ability to discretely handle matters of confidentiality.
