GENERAL SUMMARY:
Serve to assist Laboratory process engineering functions in support of the division by providing data analysis and metric reports, conducting operations research, assisting in performance improvement and key initiatives related to throughput, operations, quality, service refinements and business expansion, and with document processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Act as analytical and management resource to Laboratory administration for key laboratory objectives, including system/process workflow and resource utilization. Scope of services includes process documentation and cataloguing, data analysis, operation and business process analysis, development and implementation of recommendations.
2. Assist in development/ refinement of operational, service, and quality metrics. Assist coordination and distribution of dashboard and scorecard management information.
3. Apply strategic methodologies using analytical tools and concepts of PDCA, Six Sigma/Lean, and High Reliable Organization to system and process initiatives.
4. Participates in:
Q.I./process improvements, data collection, QC documentation, and/or CAP surveys as applicable to the assigned department.
Staff activities of a High Reliability Organization (HRO)
Friend-at-Work program and assists in training new hires as applicable/assigned
5. Staff meetings and committee meetings as assigned.
6. Cost effectiveness: Efficient use of time in completing tasks accurately and timely. Mindful of appropriate use of laboratory funds through purchase requests and the observance of wasteful use of supplies.

A. Education / Training:
Bachelor's degree in either Industrial Engineering or Business, Health Care Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
B. Work Experience:
Highly preferred: Project management; business process analysis; flow chart; database administration and management; website development and maintenance; and Share Point development and maintenance skills/experience.
C. Certification, Licensure, Registration:
Six Sigma/Lean training/certification preferred.
D. Other Qualifications:
Excellent quantitative, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates proficient knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Office products.
