Position Summary
The Department of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences invites applications from outstanding candidates for a fixed term Research Associate position in the area of plant microbiome research, mycology and microbiology.
Responsibilities will include: Conducting field work at the Kellogg Biological Station and/or greenhouse work with plant- or soil- associated microbiomes (fungi and bacteria). Culturing and preservation of fungi, bacteria and oomycetes. Presenting research at professional meetings. Bioinformatic and statistical analyses of field data and publication of research conducted. Mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students.
Exceptional candidates from all areas of Mycology, microbial ecology, and plant pathology will be considered.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Mycology, Plant Pathology, Microbiology, or agriculture-related field. The Ph.D. must be completed at the time of employment.
