Weyerhaeuser in Grayling is accepting applications for a Maintenance Reliability Leader. The position is full-time to manage the utilization of infrared, ultrasonic, lubrication, alignment, balancing and vibration tools to assess mill assets. Proper use of predictive maintenance tools will improve mill reliability and avoid the cost of down time by detecting issues ahead of time to plan for repairs. In addition, this role will be a model for safety standards, process and on the job behaviors exhibiting the core principles of integrity, accountability and creating a positive work environment while championing the integration of safety and reliability improvements through SMPs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership of safety within maintenance to include compliance in regulatory and environmental systems
- Establish & maintain relationships with vendors, contractors and purchasing to effectively coordinate delivery of services, equipment and supplies
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planner/Schedulers to arrange all the resources needed including, operators, maintenance, contractors, tools, supplies and equipment
- Monitor and improve schedule compliance
- Assist mill with issues and lead Continuous Improvement Projects
- Develop detailed job plans with priority on safety and adherence to all mill safety and compliance systems
- Manage all aspects of the system for the Preventive Maintenance process
- Work to develop and maintain predictive routes, collect data from technicians on established routes, maintain Sharepoint Excel and Word documents and generate follow-up notifications to eliminate identified defects
- Work closely with plant personnel and reliability teams to ensure follow up is completed
- Train, coach, and mentor PdM technicians using predictive and preventative maintenance techniques and use of predictive technologies
- Conduct and/or attend Predictive Technology training as necessary, including developing standard operating and training materials as needed. Training may be delivered in-person or online
- Contribute towards tactical and strategic planning for reliability improvements
- Support continuous improvement efforts in predictive technology and reliability processes
- Continued development, implementation and maintenance of SMP program
- Develop and maintain criticality analysis of all equipment in the mill

Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:
- High School/GED diploma or above.
- A passion for safety and exceptional leadership capability and proven track record in improving safety performance
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field
- Manages multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent organization, interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and written/oral communication skills
- Demonstrates capability to set priorities on multiple job assignments and understands impacts on business
- Good understanding of mill manufacturing processes to include process reliability, safety, and Value Delivery Systems
- Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment required
- Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications
- Competent in using Microsoft Office & CMMS System (SAP) and ability to maintain accurate records and data
- Ability to read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams
- Knowledge and practice of NFPA 70E preferred, additional training will be conducted on site
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all team peers and customers
- Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a “get-it-done, can-do” attitude self-starter
- Skilled in developing troubleshooting programs and job aids
- Ability to pass Level 1 Machinery Lubricant Technician Exam (MLT1) as provided by the international Council of Machinery Lubrication as well as all vibration, infrared, ultrasonic, alignment and balancing training courses offered
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial
- Candidate must be able to work flexible schedules in rotating departments when needed
The following qualifications are preferred:
- Two or more years of experience in continuous-process industry in maintenance, maintenance planning, maintenance leadership, engineering, or associated role preferred
- RMIC, CRL certifications preferred
- Good understanding of team-based work systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Reliability, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or related equivalent experience and/or degree
