POSITION: Inventory Control Supervisor _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Reports to: Materials Manager Department: Manufacturing Classification: Exempt Division: Operations (MI) _____________________________________________________________________________________________ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: * Supervises the daily activities of the inventory control staff. * Ensures adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained. * Develops and implements process improvements aimed at better inventory control. * Monitors all cycle count programs and ensures consistency and accuracy in same and identifies all operational problems in inventory. * Maintains reports to support continuous improvement within the materials group. * Ensures inventory transaction integrity. * Performs audits of material transactions made by the materials group. * Assist / Coordinate the annual physical inventory * Manages all inventory transactions and provide required feedback to team as required. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Must be able to make independent decisions and be able to support decision made. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills required. * Ability to analyze financial reports and be able to determine cause for discrepancy. * Ability to develop / implement process improvements cross-functionally. * MRP software knowledge is highly desired. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * 3-5 years of successful experience working in a standard cost system while utilizing an MRP system. * Knowledge of general business practices including accounting, manufacturing, materials planning, and quality are required. * Specific experience needed in costing and variance analysis, root cause investigation and have the ability to drive corrections in the system.
