Product Manager III
Responsible for the go-to-market strategy for new products and product enhancements, product marketing/packaging, product communications (internal/ external), market intelligence, and product analytics/reporting for the full suite of Treasury Management products. In addition, position is responsible for advancing product knowledge across the department and organization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Go-To-Market Strategy. Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy to bring new products and product enhancements to market and ensure a positive customer experience. This includes market analysis (e.g., customer needs, competition), market selection (e.g., market segmentation and selection), marketing mix (e.g., pricing, advertising/promotion) and customer acquisition.
- Product Marketing/Packaging. Define and execute product marketing strategies and tactics to increase the visibility and awareness of the products offered, externally (customers/prospects) and internally (lending groups/banking centers) and improve customer acquisition. Includes ensuring products are properly packaged with up-to-date sales and marketing materials and tools (e.g., product overviews, sales videos, website content, success stories, product demos, user guides, implementation documentation). (Coordinated with Corporate Marketing).
- Product Communications. Manage the internal and customer communications for product enhancements, new products and other product-related updates. (Coordinated with Corporate Communications)
- Market Intelligence. Build and communicate relevant information on customers/prospects, competitors, and industry and market trends. Gather and analyze information for specific business problems and to support business decisions on specific strategies. Define requirements for market research programs (e.g., studies to assess customer satisfaction and loyalty, customer needs) and execute in coordination with Corporate Marketing and external suppliers.
- Product Analytics/Reporting. Monitor product performance and trends against planned targets. Develop expanded product analytics/reporting and conduct a variety of analysis (e.g., revenue and volume trends, product penetrations, product cross-sell, customer run-off, segment analysis) to proactively identify opportunities and issues, and execute appropriate action plans.
- Product Knowledge/Support. Advance product knowledge organization-wide through the development of enhanced product information and product courses for Comerica University. Support the Treasury Management Sales, Implementation and Service teams with product inquiries, RFPs, sales calls, etc.
- Leadership. Lead cross-functional teams for key initiatives to ensure successful and timely completion.
- Personal Knowledge. Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
- Soft skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong organization and analytical skills are a vital part of the role.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 7 years of banking/financial services experience; Treasury Management experience a plus
- 5 years of Product Management, Go-To-Market Strategy, Product Marketing/Packaging, and Product Communications experience
