Fulfillment Associate - Brilliance Publishing

Brilliance Publishing is seeking bright, motivated, hardworking individuals to fill Fulfillment Associate positions at our fulfillment center in Grand Haven. (Brilliance Publishing is part of the Amazon.com Inc. group of companies). The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to customer obsession as it relates to product creation and fulfillment.
Employees are expected to be proficient in Shipping, Material Handling, Returns, and Production. Strict adherence to the safety, quality, and production standards is expected. Adaptability and flexibility in work assignments and a focus on doing whatever is necessary to satisfy the customer are key components for this role. The Fulfillment Associate position may be required to receive products, relocate products using forklifts, pallet jacks, WAVE's, or order pickers. They also may also be required to pick customer orders on all levels of a multi-level racking system, pack and ship customer orders, receive product and troubleshoot problems to resolution.
Job Requirements:
* Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts
* Temperature in the fulfillment center may vary between 60 and 90 degrees, and will occasionally exceed 90 degrees
* At least 18 years old
* Flexible to work any shift and can work overtime as needed
* Must be authorized to work in the United Stated without sponsorship
* Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds
* Able to stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
* Can frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
* Work on powered equipment-for example WAVE or order picker
* Work in a fast pace environment
* Work independently without regular supervision
* Can cross train as needed to meet ever changing operational needs
* Demonstrates positive work attitude and leadership skills
* Demonstrates excellent job performance in productivity, quality, safety, and attendance
* Demonstrates a commitment to a culture of safety
Basic Qualifications
* High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced work experience or college degree work
* Computer experience and proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* Excellent communication skills- able to coach, train and assist team members and communicate effectively with co-workers, team lead and supervisor
* Thinks outside of the box; searches for innovative solutions
* Demonstrated ability to learn and apply with consistency in quality and output
* The ability to produce accurate work results and a high attention to detail in work products including paperwork
