Job Overview
As a Tailored Solutions-Product Specialist , you will:
Interact with our dealers while responding to their requests for custom product and developing solutions across a range of products. You will research feasibility, develop costing and be able to see these quotes realized by completing the engineering documentation for them upon an order. While doing so you will develop designs of moderate complexity from ideas or requirements as presented by our dealers, ensuring quality standards are met. You will be working with manufacturing, vendors and other teams from across the business. You will also develop engineering layouts for projects of moderate scope and complexity, using appropriate CAD tools and PC tools to accurately present design concept. Prepare engineering documentation including inquiry (quote) responses, Engineering Change Orders, Bills of Materials, Parts lists and others to maintain clear project documentation. Request prototypes from outside suppliers and assemble prototypes as needed. Prepare test request, monitor tests and evaluate test performance to ensure agency and industry standards.
Do you have these required qualifications?
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- CAD or PC design experience.
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in Big Rapids, MI without relocation assistance.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
- Previous experience in an engineering role.
- Experience working directly with dealers and/or customers.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience using Creo or similar 3D modeling software.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working with furniture.
- SAP experience.
- Estimating and quoting experience.
