This job description is an overall review of The Float Caregiver position with Care Pros at Home. Situations may arise where you may be asked to perform a duty outside of your scope.
Essential Job Functions:
- Float caregiver is responsible for being available for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and live-in cases at any time and any given day.
- Being comfortable with commuting to client’s homes in various locations.
- Caregiver will be readily available if there are potential call offs and they are needed to attend an open shift.
- Potentially will train new staff going to client’s home. Will receive $25.00 incentive for training staff per client’s needs and is successful.
- Will partner with Float Manager on training and essential job specifics regarding techniques if necessary.
- Caregiver may be initial contact when starting new cases and is expected to be professional at all times.
- Demonstrating good judgment and composure under pressure. Practicing professional discernment and exercising clear, appropriate boundaries in all situations.
Role Requirements:
- Experience and knowledge of principles related to caring for geriatric populations, including dementia, hospice, and homecare.
- Commitment to providing quality-orientated care.
- Willingness to be on call – is required.
Position Physical Demands:
- Situations may arise where on the telephone and sitting/driving in a vehicle. May be required to provide services to client when a caregiver is not available, in which case would need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds or more.
Location:
- Location varies based on client’s locations.
- Travel is required and essential to perform job duties.
Compensation:
- Float Caregivers will receive a set rate of $400.00 weekly. With a Bi-Weekly total of $800.00. (Can be subject to change based on various factors).
- If Float Caregiver travels more than an hour commute for a shift, staff member receives $15.00 additional.
