Job Summary:
The Sales Account Manager is primarily responsible for selling products while maintaining and growing customer relationships through phone and email interactions. Success for this role means reaching established targets/quotas through excellent telephone sales and communications skills. To be effective in this role self-motivation, time-management, customer record maintenance, product knowledge, and passion are essential. This position could also require some travel to new/potential customers, markets, and territories.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and grow current customer portfolio
- Active and consistent participation in Sales Team meetings and activities
- Maintain proficiency in product knowledge and offerings
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and vendors
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
- Work effectively as a team contributor in achieving targets
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members
- Be detail-oriented, honest, direct, and able to handle more than one task simultaneously while managing one’s time effectively and maintaining a strong work ethic.

Work Environment:
The work is generally performed in an office environment. Frequent telephone and computer use are required.

Required Educational Skills and Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or education and experience equivalent
- 3-5 years proven sales experience
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft applications or data-based systems)
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management and other employees of the organization.
