A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BRANCH MANAGER
As a Branch Manager, you lead your branch, team, and market, having the opportunity to positively affect many lives. You make a difference in the lives of your customers by offering the best available products and services to meet their individual financial needs. By helping them to achieve their career goals, you also affect the lives of your team members. You coach and mentor them to be the best bankers that they can be! And, by representing the bank in activities that benefit it, you are a beacon in the community.
You maintain a thorough working knowledge of and train staff in all bank goals, policies, operating procedures, and services, as well as all current marketing and advertising promotions. You select, train, and motivate your team, developing employee morale that facilitates a positive customer service environment. Under your management, goals are met in production, expense control, fee income, and operational efficiencies. You conduct regular branch meetings that are informative, motivating, and productive.
You are goal-oriented and work hard with your team to accomplish branch goals. As a hands-on leader, you are not afraid to jump in and provide customer service when needed. You enjoy connecting with customers to learn about their goals and match products and services to their needs. As a collaborator, you partner with our Mortgage, Commercial, and Treasury teams to recommend new bank services that offer even more value to our customers. You oversee branch audits and the preparation and distribution of monthly branch reports.
You also get to be "out and about" to connect with businesses and non-profits in your area. You promote our bank through community involvement and leverage your contacts to create a pipeline of new business. Using your sales skills, you make a direct impact on our profits. You call on current and potential customers to sell deposit products and basic treasury services to them. Sourcing referrals for commercial and treasury partners, you perform consumer lending. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BRANCH MANAGER
- Bachelor's degree OR 5 years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of banking experience
- 2 years of management experience
- Proven business development and customer service experience
- Must be able to become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
- Leadership ability

BANKING MANAGEMENT WORK SCHEDULE
On average, this business development position works banking hours Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Some Saturdays will be required from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. Community activities may require evening and weekend hours. Day travel is required for meetings and training.
