Eisenhower Center is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to provide nursing services at our residential rehabilitation facilities serving adults with acquired brain injury. Eisenhower Center’s specialized programs address education and care for individuals with health/behavioral issues from post-concussion syndrome, post-traumatic stress, TBI, development disabilities, dual diagnosis or other similar diagnosis. We work with civilians, returning veterans, and professional athletes.
Qualifications:
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in MI
Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience on a medical floor, preferably rehabilitation.
Preferred experience with clients who have developmental disabilities, brain injuries, or psychiatric illness.
Excellent communication, teaching, and organizational skills
Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate productivity, thoroughness, accuracy and attention to detail, safety, and skill in the performance of duties.
Demonstrate effectiveness in communication with supervisors, co-workers, clients and visitors.
Demonstrates adherence to work rules that incorporates disciplinary actions with the HIPAA Regulations.
Provide triage and complete Nursing assessments for medical emergencies, coordinate with families, Program Coordinator's, medical documentation and follow up.
Coordinate appointments and follow up as indicated by client status.
Provide health education as indicated by individual client needs i.e. self-medicating, dressing changes, medical information.
All other duties as assigned
