Minimum Qualifications: |
lowest system cost while focusing on exhaust aftertreatment. Develop and demonstrate production feasible solutions, and perform emissions testing in accordance with Powertrain System Functional Objectives. Manage technical interface of multiple components and subsystems included in aftertreatment system technology required to meet applicable emissions and OBD requirements. Incorporate Design for Six Sigma best practices to optimize system designs. Develop and track emissions systems solutions that meet system functional objectives.
Location: Multiple, undetermined worksites throughout the U.S.
Education: Bachelor* – Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field of study; will accept equivalent foreign degree.
Experience: Two (2)* years in the position above, as a Research/Teaching Assistant, or in a related automotive emissions control role;
Education and/or experience must include:
- Data acquisition and analysis.
- Automotive emissions/OBD.
- ETAS INCA, DC Plots, Solidworks, FEA, ANSYS CFX, Fluent, MATLAB.
- Mechanical design experience, including as a member of an SAE BAJA design team.
- Application of gasoline and diesel catalyst technology and interaction of this technology with 'state of the art' aftertreatment systems.
