Job Summary:
The Payroll/HR Coordinator will be responsible for the payroll accounts of the company. In addition, may assist with the daily functions of HR including, benefits, leave and enforcing company policies and practices in accordance with federal and state regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists PEO in administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Assists with new-employee onboarding input of new hire data and assigning of employee number and ID Badge.
- May conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action. This includes verifying attendance for the attendance point system.
- Processes weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payrolls. (Agency and Direct ERAE Employees) Paycor Cincinnati system. This is finalizing payroll for submittal to our Agencies and PEO who will process payroll for payment.
- Communicates with managers daily to verify information is accurate for new hires, time off hours worked and incentives.
- Assists in development and implementation of personnel procedures and policies.
- Assists in development of job descriptions.
- Provides monthly reporting for KPI (Key Performance Indicators/Objectives) and month end closing reports.
- Ensures I-9 and visa compliance in addition to working with lawyer for inpats and expats.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to human resources and payroll.
- Assists with special projects such as analysis of data, audits, etc.
- Processing of terminations.
- May assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
- Assists with recruitment and hiring process (Status of open positions and GWP).
- Maintains records by entering confidential information.
- Files documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Workers' compensation claims and incident management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Carry out regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, especially Excel.
- Incredible attention to detail, the desire to check and recheck data prior to submission.
- 2 years payroll experience preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least two years related experience required.
- SHRM-CP credential preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
