The FCA Medical Operations Manager oversees all of our North America medical operations. The Manager of the group is responsible for overseeing the compliance, scheduling and training initiatives as well as setting the strategic vision for the organization. Within this role, the Medical Operations manager is also responsible to lead the team by driving efficiencies in existing processes, identifying new strategic opportunities for improvement, ensuring accountability within the organization and improving coordination with Mexico and Canada.
In addition to these activities, the Manager is specifically responsible for the following:
- Manage central Medical Operations team of 3 RN’s and 1 business analyst
- Responsible for 66 nurses and 15 Physicians/Nurse Practitioners at our various FCA locations
- Coordinate schedules and hire new staff*Provide ongoing training to all staff
- Manage medical record systems*Hire and coordinate per diem staffing
- Lead team, including participation in recruitment, orientation, termination, performance counseling, education, clinical competencies, evaluation, and performance expectations of clinical staff
- Plan and oversee the implementation of operational clinical staff policies and procedures including IT systems
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives and customer satisfaction initiatives and provide follow up and metrics
- Coordinate Medical Operation activities with Mexico and Canada
- Lead Medical Operation strategy and support for COVID related activities (e.g. process redesign, follow-up calls. etc.)
Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, Healthcare, Human Resources and/or a related degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Prior experience leading and supervising a team of professionals
- Prior experience in the Benefits or a Healthcare related field
- Ability to solve problems, conduct benchmarking and compose solutions
