POSITION SNAPSHOT The Customer Account Specialist provides service excellence and support to customers, sales team, operations, customer support managers, and various other departments within the organization. Our main focus is to take care of our customers needs by leveraging our skill sets within the department as well as navigating multiple facets of US Ecology assets. We provide support to our customers by managing their waste disposal needs from cradle to grave handling all aspects from coordinating their waste approval into a disposal facility to coordinating the waste transportation to its final destination for treatment and ultimate disposal. DAY IN THE LIFE After grabbing your favorite morning beverage and booting up your computer, you can expect to: * Provide excellent customer service (internally and externally) through telephone, e-mail or face to face in a timely, accurate manner. * Act as initial contact for customers regarding the company s waste treatment and disposal services. * Initially review new waste profiles for accuracy and completion, then data enter profile information into our internal system along with supporting documents (ie: analysis, SDS, inventory sheets). Identify correct TSDF approval team, based on type of waste profiled, to submit to for final technical review. * Explain technical information, gather facts, evaluate evidence and take action to provide solutions related to customer inquiries. * Use proper DOT descriptions from the Hazardous Material table to prepare manifests and other related shipping documents for upcoming shipments. * Build and maintain a working knowledge of US Ecology service offerings through on the job situational learning, group trainings, facility tours and coaching between team members. * Identify and consult with appropriate department(s) (ie: approvals, operations, finance, contracts, billing, and regulatory) in order to take action in resolving customer inquiries.
