DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are lookingfor a Payroll Analyst. This position willbe responsible for day-to-day payroll functions and record keeping for multi-stateemployer. This includes the examination and analysis of payroll system data andrecords to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well aslocal, state and federal regulatory compliance. This Payroll Analyst will be avalued member of the Human Resources department where we strive to promote fromwithin wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Payroll processing and administration of all U.S. salaried employees and required hourly employees
- Process and review payroll adjustments
- Compute wages and deductions and enter data into payroll system
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Process employee pay and generate statements of earnings and deductions
- Manage work flow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Working knowledge of taxes and taxation of employer paid benefits
- Review and sign garnishment documentation processed by garnishment vendor as required
- Perform daily payroll department operations
- Execute time sheet file uploads from multiple timekeeping systems
- Perform compliance for unclaimed property payroll checks.
- Process payroll for multiple pay frequencies and various employee types
- Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases
- Review time sheets, wage computation, and other information in order to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
- Research and resolve payroll and system interface issues
- Establish controls for the Bi-weekly and Weekly payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Audit against the established controls
- Make recommendations regarding improving payroll administration and reporting
- Interface with other departments as required (HR, GL, AP, etc).
- Process accurate and timely year-end reporting payroll entries and adjustments as necessary
- Prepare and balance period end reports
- Test system/programming upgrades and changes
- Answer payroll inquiries from HR staff
- Assist with special projects as needed
REQUIREMENTS:REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor'sDegree or related technical field or equivalent related experience required
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of three (3) years' experienceprocessing multi-state payroll
- Strongskills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated andautomated payroll system
- ADP(Enterprise preferred), Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), BNA
- Abilityto maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Workingknowledge of federal and state regulations/taxes
- Strongsense of customer service
- Excellentproblem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail andaccuracy
- Abilityto handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines
- Strongorganizational skills and the ability to work both independently and with ateam
- Detailoriented
