The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Dentist in the care and treatment of dental patients. Prepares patients for dental treatment and assists the dentist chair-side in all clinical procedures. Expose, process and mounts x-ray films. Maintains patient records and assists with operatory set-up and clean-up. Ensures appropriate and courteous treatment of all patients and serves in maintaining a properly functioning dental center.
This position is located at our Saginaw, Michigan site.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and certification from an accredited dental assisting program as a registered dental assistant (RDA). Current license to practice as a Registered Dental Assistant with expanded duties in the State of Michigan. State of Michigan Radiology Certification preferred. CPR required.
OR
- High school diploma or equivalent and certification from an accredited dental assisting program (CDA). State of Michigan Radiology Certification required within 60 days of employment.
OR
- High school diploma or equivalent and has a minimum of two (2) years on the job training/experience as a dental assistant. State of Michigan Radiology Certification required within 60 days of employment.
