Job Overview
We are currently looking for two Supply Chain Commodity Specialists to join our team in Holland MI - HQ.
As a Supply Chain Commodity Specialist I, you will:
Execute supply chain strategy. Identify supplier quality, delivery, and service issues. Monitor supplier corrective action and coordinate supplier development. Identify and eliminate waste from supply chain.
As a Supply Chain Commodity Specialist II, you will:
Execute commodity strategy. Identify supplier quality, delivery, and service issues. Monitor supplier corrective action and coordinates supplier development. Identify and eliminate waste from supply chain. May develop and manage sources of supply for medium-risk commodities.
As a Supply Chain Commodity Specialist III, you will:
Execute supply chain strategy. Identify supplier quality, delivery, and service issues. Monitor supplier corrective action and coordinates supplier development. Identify and eliminate waste from supply chain. May develop and manage sources of supply for medium-risk commodities. Assist with development of supply chain sourcing strategy and manages supplier alliances for commodities, including supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, and ongoing supplier performance and relationship management.

Supply Chain Commodity Specialist I Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Finance, Economics, Operations Management, Human Resources, or Marketing. 2 years of related work experience in Supply Chain preferred. Ability to lifts parts, materials, and/or products weighing up to 50 pounds to perform supplier profile analysis. Ability to transport self for interplant and supplier visits. Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship. Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Supply Chain Commodity Specialist I Preferred Qualifications:
Purchasing or procurement experience. Experience working in manufacturing industry. Project management experience. At least an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. ERP experience, SAP strongly preferred.
Supply Chain Commodity Specialist II Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Haworth experience. Experience working in a LEAN Manufacturing industry. At least an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. ERP experience, SAP strongly preferred.
Supply Chain Commodity Specialist III Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Haworth experience. Global sourcing experience. Experience working in a LEAN Manufacturing industry. At least an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel. ERP experience, SAP strongly preferred. Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
Ability to occasionally travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally; however, may involve extended overseas trips. Working knowledge of supply chain cost analysis and target costing techniques. Strong project and relationship management, interpersonal, and team building skills. Effective written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Working knowledge of supply chain cost analysis and target costing techniques. Working familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Principles, Statistical Process Control methodology, and VAVE.
