Operates computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations on a diversified line of work to close and exacting finish and specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ability to use AHM Plex Computer Systems to, but not limited to, the following tasks:
Log on to Control Panel to manage production and look up work instructions
Check inventory
Find procedures in the AHM Plex Computer System.
Review Time & Attendance records for overtime assignment, schedule changes, and vacation requests.
Interact with the Quality Control module to accurately fill out all DCP, PCP's, and First Piece Approvals, in Plex.
Operate CNC machinery to include but not limited to lathe, shapers, drills, parts washers, and gages. Perform part inspection using appropriate gages as required by control plan Perform daily PM on machines Perform product inspection through check sheets on the control plan. Interpret data gathered through product inspection to make adjustments to centralize the process. The control of nonconforming product. Must be knowledgeable in plant material control. Works with quality and engineering to know how to identify, disposition, tag and inspect product identified as nonconforming. Basic blueprint reading skills Follows all quality systems. General Housekeeping and 5S in the assigned work areas. End of Shift clean-up, which may include but not limited to brooms, mops, dust/debris pans, etc. Scrapping non-conforming product per quality and engineering direction. Have a working knowledge of all information, procedures and skills as defined in the associates training log and skills matrix. Stays current with all new training requirements in the AHM Skills Matrix as applicable to this job description. Follow all AHM, Local, State, Federal, MIOSHA, OSHA, and DEQ Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and Regulations. Participation in Kaizen & Continuous Improvement events when required Proficient using scanners, bar code readers, and have the ability to manually enter data.
