DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tenneco Inc. has recently acquired Federal-Mogul. The strategic combination of Tenneco's Ride Performance business with Federal-Mogul's Motorparts business will establish a global aftermarket leader with an impressive portfolio of some of the strongest brands in the aftermarket including Monroe, Walker, Wagner, Champion, Fel-Pro and MOOG. The company's broader aftermarket product coverage, stronger distribution channels, and enhanced channel development will strengthen its position in established and high growth markets (China and India), and drive success through new mobility models and capturing evolving e-commerce opportunities.
We have a diverse environment that will promote learning all sides of the Financial and Accounting aspects in the Automotive Industry. We are looking for a Manager of IT Accounting which includes completion of a CPA. This position assists with planning and managing accounting initiatives and strategies for the business operating unit. This position is responsible for performing basic accounting activities related to the company's IT corporate function including working with IT Directors and managners. The Accountant position functions as a member of Corporate Accounting, reports to the Executive Director of Corporate Accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for assembling and analyzing annual budgets and monthly forecasts; distributing monthly financial results; and providing various other financial analysis support to the global IT management team.
- Responsible for month end accounting and close process.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly journal entry accruals.
- Prepare and update various financial planning and analysis tools, including expense forecasts and comprehensive business models.
- Consolidate and analyze cost center forecast and annual budget.
- Improve financial results by analyzing actual results and variances to budgets and forecasts; Identify trends and recommend corrective action plans.
- Act as a liaison between the corporate finance team and the global IT organization.
- Participate in monthly reviews with cost center managers, including budgets, forecasts and actual.
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reporting as necessary.
- Assist in the financial month-end close process.
- Responsible for the calculation and recording of month-end and quarter-end accruals.
- Performs monthly account reconciliations.
- Leads special finance projects related to process improvements and/or system implementations.
- Preparation of Sarbanes-Oxley documentation, walk-through and testing for specific processes as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA required.
Skills & Experience:
- 7 years of Accounting or Finance experience required. Month End Close experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to create and maintain productive work relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in the English language.
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Financial expertise and skills to effectively deliver the responsibilities outlined above including
- knowledge and familiarization with financial systems and other appropriate software.
- SAP and Hyperion/Onestream knowledge is preferred.
- Project Management skills required.
- Team-oriented and able to perform tasks where time management is key.
