The Kitchen Crew Manager Responsibilities
- Reports to Outreach and Program Services Manager and Executive Director
- Keeps an accurate and timely time sheet
- Adheres to monthly schedule
- Ensures that the kitchen is fully operational for each shift
- Communicates inventory needs to Program and Services Manager
- Properly stores food after all shifts
- Ensures that all safety and sanitation measures are followed
- Works with Program and Services Manager to prepare weekly menus
- Ensures the safety of Mid City Nutrition guests and volunteers by monitoring and controlling dining room activity (When we resume inhouse.
- Conducts kitchen volunteer training
- Ensures that kitchen volunteers are kept busy (even if too many show up)
- Ensures that community service and work program participants are assigned tasks and have work to do.
- Ensures that the kitchen is in order, all food is labeled and put away correctly and dining room is cleaned, ready for cleaning crew or next service. This includes all tabletops and counters that were used.
- All questions should be directed to the Outreach and Program Services Manager or Executive Director, as needed.
- Candidate should be ServSafe certified
