SUMMARY
Provides administrative support for a team of Appraisers and Valuation Specialists within the Bank's Real Estate Valuation Department. The department supports commercial loan originations and renewals by providing valuations of commercial and residential real estate collateral.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manages group email inbox and directs communication to appropriate team members.
Gathers, reviews and organizes property information to support internal and external valuation requests.
Coordinates third-party site inspections, notifies Commercial Lenders of property access requirements, and maintains site inspection files.
Assists with ordering internal valuations for problem loans.
Obtains required disclosure forms and tracks compliance for 1-4 family transactions.
Interprets real estate legal descriptions to ensure appraisals match collateral documentation such as mortgages, title work and surveys.
Responsible for ordering and tracking residential appraisals and invoices. Promptly resolves any past due payments.
Assists with appraiser selection from the Bank's approved appraiser list based on property location.
Responds to appraisal status requests.
Completes appraisal review forms for non-complex 1-4 family properties.
Maintains Work in Process logs for real estate evaluation and appraisal orders, and prepares monthly reports for Senior Management.
Other duties and responsibilities as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None; however ability to work in a team environment is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Related real estate or banking experience highly preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with basic Microsoft Excel functions is required. Experience with charts, pivot tables, and other advanced Excel functions is preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, area and commissions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
