We are an Aerospace Stamping and Assembly Plant located in Chesterfield, MI and we are seeking a Quality Systems Rep for and opening on 1st shift.
- Coordinate all NADCAP and AS-9100 efforts, and to assure the organization passes all third party audits (NADCAP, AS-9100 and Customer lead audits)
- Maintain all quality related documentation to ensure that copies of controlled documents are distributed and all revisions are current. (Internal procedures, quality manuals etc.)
- Perform internal audits to ensure the quality system is working as planned
- Participate in all AQP processes.
- Follow up on internal audits and NCR’s until closed.
- Provide primary backup to the Quality Manager for outside quality issues.
- Provide assistance on continuous improvement projects, as required.
- Work on special projects as assigned by the Quality Manager and/or the Department
- Provide assistance to departments (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality etc.) to ensure quality systems are adhered to and up to date.
- Responsibilities will also include checking customer e-based quality system for changes.
- Improve overall quality and systems on manufacturing floor.
- Follow up on opportunities for improvement identified during the internal audits.
- Manage training database (i.e training assignments, training updates, notification to supervisors of overdue trainings, etc.)
Qualifications
- Ability to think analytically and independently and remain very organized
- Ability to work effectively on their own as well as with others at all levels of the organization
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Has a working understanding of geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T)
Minimum Requirements:
- Internal auditor certification and advanced QA training- a plus
- Course work in Quality Systems and Manufacturing Environments helpful,
- Experience related to Manufacturing.
- 2-4 years of experience a plus
- Ability to follow established procedures
- Experience performing internal audits, preferably within the aerospace industry
- Ability to operate complex database systems
- High level organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in reading and writing skills and the English language
- Professional demeanor with high standard of ethical behavior
- Must be process oriented and team player.
- Ability to analyze data for accuracy and interpret results.
- Must be proficient in office, and use of computers.
