The Connected Services Systems Validation Engineer will be responsible for a deeper level of triage and root cause analysis on difficult connectivity issues. The Engineer will hold tactical meetings with the broader team to drive difficult issues to closure. Train new team members as they join on all features in the Connected Services Ecosystem. Help ensure the quality of the validation output by reviewing specifications and test cases early in the development cycle and provide feedback. Support vehicle build activities such as characterizing issues found by executives and quality during different fleet testes as well as support the assembly plants. Estimate man power on new features and create tactical plans.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering degree from an ABET accredited school
- 3 years of engineering experience
- 3 years of systems experience in telematics
- 3 years of experience in Telematics Linux/QNX/Command Line and/or Telnet
- 3 years of experience with CAN communication
- Test case writing
- Ticket/defect management experience
- Current knowledge of a minimum of 6 connected features at a system architecture level
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical
- 5 years of systems experience in telematics
