Supply Chain Manager
Overview:
Responsible for multiple automotive manufacturing plant material operations within a single business unit entity, over multiple disciplines within the extended supply chain (Customer and Internal / External supply base).
Core Responsibilities:
- Advanced broad-based supply chain management, process development and manufacturing operations knowledge.
- Strategic focus with tactical responsibilities.
- Strong leadership / technical / planning / negotiation / presentation skills.
- Exposure to multiple disciplines (including IT, Purchasing, Operations, Finance....)
- Works / interfaces inside and outside the organization, with customers and suppliers.
- Assesses global industry impact on supply chain management and takes appropriate action.
- Drives key metric and cost reduction within the material operations and supply chain.
- PC / software knowledge/skills.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Responsible for multiple plants (Regional) material and Supply Chain Management operational performance.
- Key measure responsibilities for Customer Delivery Performance, Inventory, Freight, Inventory Loss, Staffing - Salary and Indirect Materials, People Development and Profit Planning / Budgeting.
- Implement tools and processes that improve operating efficiencies and reduce cost within Business Unit operations and supporting supply chains.
- Influence/Educate/Support manufacturing operations to improve key measure performance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Business degree or equivalent knowledge in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Manufacturing.
- 5 years manufacturing experience, applicable Adient automotive material Systems and/or Functional Knowledge.
- APICS Certification.
- Complete Supply Chain Management process knowledge and experience:
- Logistics, Manufacturing Operating Systems (MOS), Electronic Commerce, Project Management, ERP systems, Continuous Improvement - Lean Principles, Budgeting, Planning, Financial P&L, Team Development, Program Launch and Balance Out.
Travel:
- This position will be supporting 6 plants- travel will be up to 75%+
