Reports to: Executive Director
Basic Function: The ReStore Customer Service position is responsible for participating in daily
operations of the ReStore. The Building and Maintenance position is responsible for maintenance
throughout the building and may include some minor plumbing and electrical work as well as outdoor
grounds work. This will either be a combined position or two separate positions that will require a lot of
bending and lifting at times.
ReStore Customer Service
• Respond to customer needs including information on merchandise, assistance with purchases and
donations, etc.
• Assist with maintaining a clean and safe store (free from any tripping hazards or falling objects)
• Fill in for co-worker when absent or on breaks
• Assist with off-loading and loading of items
• Familiarize yourself with Habitat and ReStore Mission and policies
• Participate in staff meetings as needed
Building Maintenance
• Conducting weekly routine inspections of premises and equipment
• Performing preventative maintenance
• Handling basic repairs and maintenance
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary
• Weekly inspection of basement, boilers, pumps, etc.
• May include painting as needed
• Trash removal as needed
• Outdoor work on grounds as needed (may include raking and mowing)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task
• A valid Driver’s License and your own, insured vehicle
• A high school diploma or higher education preferred
• Ability to lift heavy items
• Proven maintenance experience required
• Skilled use of hand and power tools
