QUALIFICATIONS Position Summary The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for providing overall human resources strategy and support for aligning business objectives with employees and facility management in designated business units. This position serves as a consultant to management on human resources related issues and employee relations. The successful Manager acts as an employee champion and change agent and acts as the primary guardian of local HR policy and steps related to progressive discipline. The role assesses and anticipates HR related needs, and acts as a business partner to the CEO and the leadership team in developing the organization's strategic plan, and ensuring adequate staffing as well as HR compliance with existing policy and/or statutes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Collaborates with management to develop, communicate and administer various human resources policies, guidelines and procedures, in accordance with law and government regulations. * Responds to employee relations issues, such as employee complaints that may include claims of harassment, discrimination, misconduct, bullying, etc. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations and makes fact-based recommendations as a result of investigation findings. * Manages and resolves employee relations issues, collaborating with appropriate members of the organizational hierarchy during complex situations where appropriate. * Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. * Keeps employee records up to date and processes employee status changes in timely manner. * Complies with department record-keeping standards and reports. * Responsible for full cycle recruitment within designated facilities of responsibility, maintaining adequate staffing to ensure patient safety and the ability to meet organizational objectives. * Maintains and/or collaborates with facility management on position control plan in accordance with the facility FTE budget. * Monitors compensation equity within the facility/facilities, engages in compensation planning at assigned facility/facilities and ensures wage and hour compliance. * Maintains all Human Resources files to ensure regulatory compliance (including files for independent contractors and/or vendors).
