Will you answer* GROUP/DIVISION KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA). The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Global Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology. We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market. The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper. RESPONSIBILITIES Sr Logistics Import/Export Operational Analyst The Sr. Import/Export Operational Analyst will be based in Ann Arbor, MI but responsibilities will focus on operational import/export activity across all regional KLA regions and sites. The Sr. Logistics Import/Export Analyst will work closely with our global logistics team, Global Trade Compliance as well as cross functional teams across the global KLA network to drive program improvements through information analysis and process management. In addition, the Sr. Logistics Import/Export Analyst will be responsible for driving lowest possible logistics compliance costs across the KLA Service supply chain while helping to maintain legal & regulatory compliance with the laws in each country where we act as importer and exporter of record. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: * Manage and support various operational Customs programs as needed (e.g. Duty Drawback, FTZ zone management, support special Customs Duty Programs such as Korea and Singapore Free Trade Agreement as required and VAT recovery) * Work with Global Trade Compliance to obtain interpretive basis for classifications as required, and communicate with external service providers * Network analysis through data and logistics flows and costs to evaluate logistics trade solutions (FTZ, MPF programs) to drive cost and process efficiencies * Work with Global Trade Compliance on export licensing and manage communication with external logistics providers * Manage regional customs brokers, regional import/export recordkeeping related to operations and support local and regional customs requests for information related to operational import/export activity * Work closely with Global Trade Compliance to liaise with local Customs Authorities and other Governmental Agencies on operational activity as required * Develop and maintain global metrics on duty and drawback activity, brokerage performance, audit suppliers on their adherence to SOP and metrics they report to KLA; track any corrective actions to closure. * Act as the point of contact for KLA 3PL partners requiring operational import/export assistance from KLA QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications * Extensive experience in the international trade area is required * Experience in international logistics (transportation, import/export, tax, international banking issues, and contractual implications) * Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in international logistics, export & Customs/import roles, or 12+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree Experience with U.S. and Singapore trade regulations including import/export operational requirements preferred; experience with the trade and import/export operational regimes of EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY KLA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
