JOB OVERVIEW The Sensor Solutions Business Unit (TESS) is one of the most dynamic businesses within TE focused on driving sustainable and profitable growth in the Industrial market segment. TE Sensor Solutions products support the sensor market trends such as high-speed, energy-efficient and miniaturization advancements in to end applications focused on Building Automation, Factory Automation, and Process Automation offering sustainable and profitable growth opportunities as we solve our customer's most challenging problems. To support our growth, we are looking for a talented, driven, and highly analytical Senior Manager, Business Development with proven experience in developing growth strategy and execution to join the Sensor Solutions team. This customer facing position will drive short and long-term revenue goals by helping to identify growth opportunities within key existing Industrial accounts, develop relationships with emerging Industrial market OEMs and customers, and collaborate with product management to influence and drive the product roadmap with specific focus on select End Applications. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: * Developing a plan that analyzes the opportunity to expand the existing TESS product portfolio opportunity to sell in to current and new TESS Industrial Key customers by focusing on select end applications
* Developing a plan by end application that analyzes the opportunity to cross-sell existing TESS products in to the Industrial BU customer base
* Developing a plan to capitalize on select Industrial end applications with specific focus on Industrial IoT trends (high-speed, energy-efficient and miniaturization)
* Delivering a Global business plan to increase our opportunity pipeline and market penetration with new customers/end applications and achieve balanced growth across regions
* Partnering with other TE BUs (Industrial) to determine if there is an opportunity to develop an integrated value proposition to address market and customer needs
* Engage on customer visits primarily with Sales, Senior Leadership team, Field Application Engineers and Product Management to identify \\"where to play\\" and \\"how to win\\"
* Conduct market research and deliver executive presentations to provide market context, portfolio and product line direction and cost-benefit analysis of serving specific market segments.
* Deliver market requirements to the Portfolio Management Team (PMT) and Product Management. The objective should be to help align customer priorities and opportunities with the portfolio and product line roadmaps.
* Work with Marketing to align market insights/customer needs with TE strategy to develop value proposition, positioning and promotional plan for growth.
* Engage with Industry analysts and experts to understand and promote market segment strategy and solutions -- is focal point, go to subject matter expert on their assigned segment within the business.
* Develop 5-year Revenue Plan, and Work with Finance & Sales Operations to develop key metrics and provide recommendations to reduce cost-to-serve.
* Assist in the formulation of strategy to grow in new adjacent markets, incorporating M&A and partnerships. WHAT YOUR BACKGROUND SHOULD LOOK LIKE: * A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study (Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Circuits, Mechanical Engineering, Optical, etc). MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* 8+ years of work experience with at least 4 years in a Strategy, Business Development, Sales, Marketing or Consulting role in the electronics industry or high technology or diversified industrial company focused on the Industrial space.
* Proven strategic thinking and execution to help drive growth in a business. Skills and Abilities:

* Strong organizational skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload.
* Effective written, oral and presentation skills that clearly express ideas and recommendations to customers, TE Sensor executives and a broad range of audiences.
