SUMMARY
Ensures the efficient operation of the Bank by providing wire transfer services and operational support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administer incoming and outgoing wire transfers, including: completing entries and notifying customers for all incoming wire transfers, and completing entries and keying wire transfers on to the wire system, Fedline system or correspondent website for all outgoing wire transfers.
Provide excellent, consistent customer service to internal and external customers without compromising wire transfer procedure guidelines.
Maintain the security/risk balance inherent in the wire transfer function.
Determine and resolve investigations resulting from outstanding wire transactions.
Perform various eBanking and Wire database and balancing tasks.
Cross train others for back-up purposes.
Other duties and projects as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None, however ability to work in a team environment is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one year to three years banking experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous wire transfer experience preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
