DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tenneco's Powertrain Division is looking for an ApplicationEngineer that will be responsible to work together with the accountmanager to provide the necessary service to OEM customers. The business situation and individual skills maydictate the method of meeting these responsibilities, but the end result willalways be superior customer service and the advancement of the business. This person will become a valued member of our ACIS engineeringdepartment, where we strive topromote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancementare strong.
An ideal candidate for thisposition is a candidate who possesses a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanicalengineering. Excellent interpersonal &writing skills and general knowledge of engine performance & test methodsas it relates to ignition systems are all necessary skillsfor this position.

•Work with manufacturing plants to assure manufacturability of designs.
•Responsiblefor developing new products as the designated project manager for the CustomerProgram Development (APQP) process.
•Prepare tests requests, evaluate test results, and publish final testreports.
•Prepare detailed failure analysis reports.
•Evaluate business issues and prioritize activities.
•Diagnose and recommend operating parameter or design changes based ontest data (e.g. combustion analysis, engine and test stand testing, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
•Bachelor'sdegree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
•Minimum 2-5 years of experience.
•Ability to conceptualize new designs and concepts.
•Ability to analyze combustion performance based on industry standardcombustion parameters.
•Ability to perform detailed customer presentations.
•Ability to be responsive to customer and business group needs.
•Ability to take a lead role in minor advanced engineering projects.
