This position is responsible for supporting the sales efforts of Sherwin-Williams' paint stores through supervision of the District's ColorSnap program. The role will supervise seven or more In-Home Color Consultants who assist DIY customers by making color and decorative product recommendations via home visits. The position will also be responsible for personally handling color consultations for one to three store locations and providing back-up support to cover consultations as needed.
It will represent the District at various events and work closely with District Management on all Color Consultant strategies and implementation of the program to ensure that store employees and sales representatives thoroughly understand and correctly utilize the services of the In-Home Color Consultants. The role will establish territories to best support the District's business, determine staffing needs, recruit employees accordingly, determine training needs and implement training as appropriate. The position will establish In-Home Color Consultant metrics and goals to align with the District's mission, write and administer performance appraisals and provide on-going coaching throughout the year to each employee. The role will also conduct color training for store-level employees as necessary and resolve color consultation related customer complaints to ensure a quick and accurate resolution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
* Must have the ability to operate a computer and communicate via the telephone.
* Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
* High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g. GED).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Interior Design.
* Previous management experience.
* Prior retail sales or merchandising experience, with a decorating/design background.
* Customer service skills, including problem solving and handling customer complaints.
