Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Grounds Maintenance Technician - Holland, MI to join our team in Holland MI - HQ.
As a Grounds Maintenance Technician - Holland, MI, you will:
Maintain lawns, trees, shrubbery, parking lots, and signage at Haworth Center. This position manages the sprinkling system, plantings, and pond. Work closely with Corporate Security and all other sectors on aligning groundskeeping programs with manufacturing and corporate needs.
Do you have these required qualifications?
•Three years commercial lawn and shrubbery care experience, including experience in snow plowing, sprinkler system management, snow removal, roadway salt application, and maintenance of facilities exterior equipment
•Ability to obtain and maintain valid powered vehicle license and State of Michigan driver's license
•Must have or obtain, within one year, Commercial Pesticide Applicator license, by passing Department of Agriculture certification exam
•High school diploma, GED, or three years of grounds maintenance experience for each year of school uncompleted
•Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
•Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
•Current or previous Haworth experience
•Previous vendor management experience
•Previous experience working with contracts
•Previous procurement and/or invoice experience
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
•Previous EMPAC system experience
•Ability to climb ladders, stoop, crouch, twist, kneel, crawl, walk to perform maintenance, which includes carrying or lifting up to 50 pounds
•Comfortable with frequent exposure to several different elements, including heat, rain, dirt, snow, ice, noise, vibrations, and flying debris
•Must be willing to work outdoors in any kind of weather
•Comfortable with periodic use of chemicals and daily use of various types and sizes of equipment with exposure to hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components requiring special precautions
