DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Federal-Mogul's Powertrain Division in Greenville, MI is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with related manufacturing experience to become a valuable member of our Skilled Trades Department.
An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who has had at least eight years experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment. Additionally, the candidate must be able to work any of the three shifts. Journeyman's card is a plus.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical problems.
•Fabricate sheet metal parts and safety guards for equipment.
•Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
•Move, align, level, and install machinery.
•Build, install, and maintain electrical system and equipment for plant.
•Be responsible for the start-up and shutdown of specific plant machines and equipment.
•Understand and operate according to IATF 16949 work instructions for area.
•Participate in process improvement.
•Maintain housekeeping in the department in order to facilitate a neat, safe, and orderly work environment.
•Assist management as appropriate, to ensure all environmental and safety regulations as well as best practices are met and or/exceeded. Ensure the proper segregation and labeling of all waste products and recyclables, and ensure waste minimization is practiced wherever possible.
•Adhere to all plant safety rules.
REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS
•Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
•Must have ability to work any shift (1st shift: 7am-3pm, 2nd shift: 3pm-11pm, 3rd shift: 11pm-7am).
•At least eight (8) years of mechanical/electrical experience. Journeyman card preferred.
•Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime as required.
•Ability to become licensed to drive powered industrial trucks, lifts, etc.
•Ability to successfully complete pre-employment hair follicle drug screen and background check.
PAY AND BENEFITS
The starting wage is $25.31/hr with an increase to $27.31/hr following the 120 calendar day probationary period. Negotiated wage increases to follow in August 2018 and 2019.
