Position: Northern Michigan University’s College of Technology and Occupational Sciences is seeking applicants for a Continuing-Earning Assistant Professor-TAS in the area of Hospitality Management. This is a campus-based position and will start in August 2020.
Duties and Responsibilities: This position will develop and teach a range of undergraduate courses such as Professional Cooking, Cost Control, Human Resources, Banquets and Catering, Beverage and Bar Management, Hospitality and Service Management, and Hotel and Resort Operations.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a master’s degree in hospitality management or a related field. Candidates must also have three or more years of work experience in the hospitality management industry with a focus on hotels, resorts, and tourism with exposure to culinary arts and food service management in the past five years. Additionally, candidates must have two or more years of full-time teaching experience or equivalent at the college and/or university level in the past ten years.
