Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Material Planner to join our team in Holland, Michigan!
As a Material Planner, you will:
Perform basic planning functions to ensure purchased materials are in place to support manufacturing processes and/or optimize constraints in manufacturing site to support order fulfillment. This role will be work closely with suppliers to manage purchase orders for the raw materials commodity.
Do you have these required qualifications?
•Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, Finance, Communications or Engineering.
•If no degree listed above, 8 years of experience in production scheduling / planning, commodity planning, purchase order management, inventory / warehouse management or customer service in a manufacturing environment is required.
•Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
•Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
•Material Planning experience and managing suppliers.
•Use of Excel in the workplace on a weekly basis.
•Experience working with Power BI.
•Experience working with manufacturing plants.
•Interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, ability to multitask and prioritize.
•Prior experience with ERP systems, especially SAP.
•Experience in furniture manufacturing environment.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
•Understanding of JIT concepts and make to order manufacturing environment.
•General knowledge of supply chain functions.
•Lean background and continuous improvement experience.
•Root cause problem solving skills.
