Furniture fabricator looking for hands-on highly skilled Craftsman of high-quality custom furniture. Providing application solutions designed to deliver unique specifications that blend the best features of product and millwork. Servicing markets nationwide in healthcare, corporate and higher-education settings. Flexible start: 6am, 7am or 8am till finish. May require work on Saturday. *Hours may vary*
Responsibilities:
*Responsible for safely and efficiently building assignments as assigned by Production Manager
*Uses all tools safely and for intended purposes
*Use lifting equipment and forklift trucks to fulfill orders
*Pack goods to be shipped and take photos of product packed/skidded to be given to Project Manager
*Unloads trucks when product arrives
*Participates in continuous process improvement
*Keeps work area neat and clean and follow all established safety guidelines
*Works within a team structure to achieve Company and department goals
*Strictly adheres to policies regarding attendance and punctuality
*Performs additional duties related to specific area assignment
*At times, you may be selected by Production Manager to be a Project Lead, Install Lead, or both
*Performs installations as assigned by Production Manager and represent in a professional manner when on site
*Other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills/Qualifications:
*Ability to work from sketches, drawings, plans or specifications
*Ability to follow oral and written instructions
*Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates*General knowledge of the common practices, tools, terminology and safety precautions of the carpentry trade.
*General knowledge of the use and characteristics of common building materials
*Skill in the use of carpentry tools and wood working equipment: table saw, router, laminating tools, drills, drill press and panel saw.
